"It was the best idea to select this driving school to get my first ever driving license! It is more expensive but definitely worth every € spent. Everything was just perfect, great and clear communication, very positive attitude always. Biggest thanks to my instructor Arlina, I wouldn’t have passed today (from the first try) without her support and guidance. Highly recommend to everyone willing to learn in Russian, German or English"

"Was exchanging my russian DL. Everything went very well. Administration was supportive, reached them without any problems in case of having questions. I took 3 lessons with the driving instructor (Gennadiy Bokk). During every lesson he gave me some useful tips which helped me during the exam. Totally recommend this school."

"On December 19th, I entered into a contract with this driving school to exchange my Russian driving license for a German one. Initially, they informed me about the requirement for an assessment lesson and additional lessons before the practical exam. The assessment lesson took place on January 3rd with Jann, who recommended 3 to 5 more lessons. I was advised to complete the necessary paperwork at the Burgeramt and pass the theory exam promptly. I successfully passed the theory exam on February 17th. However, the frustrating part started on February 18th when I contacted the school to inform them about passing the theory exam and my readiness for the practical exam. They presented two options: taking the exam in English with Arlina at the end of March or in Russian in May, which seemed excessively delayed. Opting for the English exam, we agreed on an exam date at the end of March and scheduled the first practical lesson with Arlina. To my surprise, when I checked the school application a few days later, I discovered that there were only two lessons scheduled, none of which were for the following week. The next lesson was set for the end of March, and the subsequent one for the beginning of April. I immediately contacted them, and their response left me puzzled. They questioned who informed me about the exam since, according to them, no one had booked it for me. Despite explaining the situation and recalling the conversation during my lesson on January 3rd, they only scheduled a few lessons with Jann to prepare for the exam. On March 15th, following a productive lesson, I decided to visit the office to inquire about my position in the exam queue. To my astonishment, they informed me that I wasn't even in the queue yet because they were unaware of my level of preparedness. After a heated argument, where I reiterated the information provided by Jann during my January 3rd lesson, they finally included me in a mysterious "queue" scribbled on a piece of paper, leaving everyone uncertain about its functioning. Consequently, my lesson schedule was changed once again, and I began waiting for the exam. Recently, when I called to check on the situation, I discovered that I was no longer in the "queue" and had missed one of my driving lessons. While missing the lesson was not surprising given the multiple reschedulings, what surprised me was the absence of any notifications regarding the missed lesson, except for one missed call. As a result, I now have to wait several more months for the exam and bear the cost of the skipped lesson. In conclusion, my experience with this driving school has been frustrating and disappointing. Despite being initially informed that I had decent driving skills and would only need a few additional lessons before the exam, there has been minimal progress. The prolonged waiting period since February 18th for the practical exam has been disheartening. Considering the substantial time that has elapsed, I feel that the lessons have been largely ineffective, as I have forgotten much of what was covered. Furthermore, colleagues who recently relocated to Berlin and changed their driving licenses through different schools have shared positive reviews about their experiences. These schools offer lower prices, excellent instructors, and significantly shorter waiting times for the practical exam. Based on their feedback, it seems there are better options available where you can obtain German driving license more efficiently."

"Amazing school. I was changing my driving license during COVID-19 and it was tough, primarily because of the queues. But my driving instructor was awesome if you want to have a friendly russian speaking teacher I would highly recommend Alexander Jakubowski, he is the best. All the clutch with the schedule the school managed perfectly, they arrange an exam and help me get there. Such a nice experience."

"I needed to swap my russian driving license to a german one and I chose Colibri both because of its high rating and recommendations from friends. The whole process went smoothly, everything went as planned and I passed with the first try. Thanks a lot to my instructor Sebastian, he taught me everything I had to know to drive safely in the EU since there are a lot of specifics here. Also wanted to thank Olga and Tatiana who were helping with administrative stuff and scheduling a lot. Totally recommend!"

"I have been doing my driving license from scratch, and I can say that the Fahrschule Colibri did this process very smooth and quick, taking into account their workload. The instructors and, in general, all the employees in the driving school perform their work on the highest level. Jean was my instructor and I can only say good things about him. An excellent, highly-qualified instructor who speaks both Russian and German, very calm, perfectly explains all the situations on the road. Taught me how to park perfectly. I am extremely satisfied with the result. The exam went great, I passed everything on the first try, no wonder, with such a level of preparation. Many thanks to Olga and Tatiana for all organizational issues. Also, many thanks to Gennadiy and Sebastian for the exceptional preparation for the theoretical exam. I would definitely recommend Fahrschule Colibri to everyone!"

"Really happy with this school, recommend. Not sure if the do lessons in English, better call them and ask, but at least two teachers speak English (Alexander and Jan).

"I needed to exchange my Russian driving license for a German one. So I decided to go to Colibri because it’s well-rated and has very good reviews. It definitely deserves all this positive feedback and now I can recommend the school as well. I managed to pass the driving exam on the first try. I think the big advantage of the school is its great teachers. I was driving with two of them, by the way, I found this more efficient than practicing with a single teacher since you get influenced by their slightly unique methods of teaching, both provided me tons of useful information and helped me to train necessary skills to feel comfortable on german streets. It wasn‘t actually as easy as I expected due to many little differences from Russian rules. The school also gives an app where you can learn the driving theory and simulate the exam. And of course kudos to the responsive ladies on administrator desks, they are always welcome to answer any questions and organize your lessons! :)"

"The process of exchanging my license was super smooth and fast! The whole team is extremely friendly and professional and the communication was top. I had Jean as my instructor and it was super relaxed. He is extremely patient, understanding and explains everything you need to know and why certain rules are there. He also speaks very well English and a bit of Spanish! So the classes were very relaxed and informative; everything you need to know to ease your way into the Berlin streets! For my case; from the Anmeldung with them until I had my license with me only 3 months passed; it was all perfect and I can't complain!! Super recommended!"
